Military City USA Radio is about all things military in “Military City USA,” San Antonio, Texas. Our show is intended to inform and educate our listeners about the diversity and importance of the more than 200 military missions in this city and the men and women who command them and are associated with them. We have broadcast more than 200 weekly episodes (a milestone we reached in December 2013).
Our hosts interview active-duty uniformed military personnel, military civilians, and our veterans. We also have guests who lead and represent community and civic organizations that support the military in San Antonio. Some of our programs focus on specific events — for example, in 2010 we celebrated the 100th Anniversary of Military Aviation in March and the 40th annual “Celebrate America’s Military” in November. We’ve broadcast remotely from venues such as the Valero Texas Open PGA golf tournament and the Lackland Air Force Base AirFest.
In addition to mission- and organization-focused shows, we do shows featuring military career fields (e.g., fighter pilots, doctors, historians and intelligence-gatherers) and military history. Each show is different, and our guests are what makes our show special.
Military City USA Radio airs live every Saturday from 8 to 9 a.m. (Central time zone) on Salem Communications’ KLUP (930 AM Talk Radio) in San Antonio. It also streams live during the broadcast hour anywhere in the world from www.klup.com, www.tunein.com and over the iHeartRadio app. If you miss a show, you can always catch the podcast by logging back onto this site (it’s updated every week.)
