Title Sponsor: Alamo AFCEA
AFCEA has been developing relationships between the armed forces, private-sector enterprises and educators for more than 65 years.
AFCEA is the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association. It’s a service-oriented nonprofit dedicated to promoting the ethical sharing of ideas and information between industry and government, with special emphasis on information technology, communications, intelligence and homeland security.
The Alamo AFCEA chapter is proud to support the military men and women of San Antonio. We focus on the missions that make up the core of this community: cyber security and information assurance; intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance; medical IT, and education and training. Our members are active-duty, retired and veteran military personnel, government civilians, and professionals in industry and academia — all committed to the ideals of a strong national defense.
AFCEA offers technical training and continuing professional education credits for its members, unparalleled networking opportunities for businesses of all sizes, guidance and services for times of career transition, support for Cyber Patriots and Wounded Warriors, and significant funding for students and teachers. In fact, the Alamo chapter awards more than $70,000 each year in scholarships to Texas high school and college students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering or math (STEM), and thousands more in grants for San Antonio-area teachers and mentors in these fields.
The Alamo chapter is part of a global AFCEA network with more than 30,000 members. Together, we’re working to keep America strong.
