David J. Kovach, Colonel (Retired), United States Air Force, Kovach culminated a 34-year military career by commanding the Air Force Communications Agency, Scott Air Force Base. In that role, he directed the efforts of 850 military, Air Force civilian and DoD contractor personnel that provided C41SR capabilities to both classified and unclassified communications network enterprises supporting over 700,000 clients. Since his retirement from the USAF in 2005, Kovach has worked for Telos Corporation, Ashburn, VA, a leading provider of innovative secure technology solutions to the U.S. Government. He has served Telos in several capacities over the years, most recently as VP, Strategic Business Development and Capture. He leads and integrates BD activities to target opportunities within the DoD and federal agencies, particularly in the realms of enterprise network infrastructure, network operations, information assurance and network security.
Kovach entered the USAF in 1971 as a US Air Force Academy cadet and was commissioned in 1975. He served around the world in more than 20 different assignments, including six unit commands from Detachment to Wing level. He served in Joint, MAJCOM and other staff duty assignments,three times in USAF combat communications organizations, and deployed in every major contingency and conflict during his 30-year active duty career. Kovach contributed significantly to the development and implementation of today’s technology backbone in the Air Force. As Commander for the 609th Air Communications Squadron and Director of Communications, US Central Command Air Forces (USCENTAF), he led the development of IT solutions that dramatically enhanced the ability of senior combatant commanders to deploy and sustain operations in the world’s most dangerous regions. Moreover, he was the lead architect and implementer of two Combined Air Operations Centers in Southwest Asia during Operation ENDURING FREEDOM.
Bill Robinson is the Vice President in charge of Corporate Affairs for Alamo AFCEA. He serves as the chairman of the Corporate Affairs Committee and as such is responsible for its general supervision of the Chapter Corporate Sponsorships and associated subcommittees as well as serving as a member of the Alamo Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association’s (AFCEA) Board of Directors. Mr. Robinson also leads the Wounded Warrior and Military Families Endowment Fund (W2MF). The fund was established to provide financial assistance for wounded warriors, veterans and military families through community-based programs and outreach assistance. Mr. Robinson is an Air Force veteran and works as a Business Development Executive for Kratos Defense.
